The use of tire powder in bituminous mixtures has ceased to be a novelty for years. There is a large amount of information, manuals and specifications that allow the design of different types of pavements with a high degree of safety regarding their behavior, supported by the experiences carried out in the works carried out so far.
The additive with RARx tire powder, from Cirtec, allows to eliminate the existing barriers for its consumption and to introduce into a bituminous mixture a high content of NFU tire powder, previously treated during the industrial manufacturing process, minimizing the known problems so far as «rubber digestion» and allowing the design of special pavements.
